Under the Gun: Permitting Process Disadvantages Many

Last Saturday on “Under the Gun” on WMRC radio with host Harry Jarvis of FirearmsAdvantage.com, I discussed the unfair permitting process in some Massachusetts towns. We talked about how paying for your rights (permits cost $100 in MA) is akin to a poll tax, which keeps poor people from being able to protect themselves. Why do they put people through the wringer in places like Revere, just for wanting to have the ability to protect oneself? Even mace in Massachusetts requires a restricted FID card that costs $25. This just means more people will be victimized, all for the sake of the state having control, and extra revenue.
